This statement explains how Atago Green Ltd makes its website accessible, the standard we work to, what we know about current limitations, and how to contact us if you experience a barrier. It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice.
1. About This Statement
This Accessibility Statement applies to our website at www.atago-green.com. It is published voluntarily as part of our commitment to inclusive design and to the standards expected by our clients.
This statement does not cover our FOS Watch insight product, which is a separate platform. A dedicated product accessibility statement will be published when FOS Watch is released to clients. Until then, any accessibility requirements relating to product access should be raised via the contact details in Section 9.
2. Our Commitment
Atago Green is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of disability, assistive technology, or device. We take this commitment seriously because:
- our clients are regulated financial services firms whose own duty-of-care and digital inclusion expectations apply throughout their supply chains;
- we believe digital inclusion is good business practice as well as a matter of equality;
- under the Equality Act 2010 we are required to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not placed at a substantial disadvantage when using our services.
This commitment is also reflected in our internal Code of Conduct.
3. Conformance Standard
We aim for our website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG 2.2 is the current version of the international accessibility standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and is the standard most commonly used by financial services firms and their suppliers in the United Kingdom.
We are a private-sector service provider, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not directly apply to us. We align with WCAG 2.2 AA voluntarily as a matter of good practice and to meet client expectations.
4. Current Conformance Status
Our website is currently being rebuilt. Accessibility has been treated as a design requirement from the outset of that build rather than as a retrofit. At the date of this statement, we consider the site to be in partial conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, with full conformance targeted at the point of public launch.
Accessibility features built into the new site include:
- semantic page structure (proper use of headings, landmarks, and lists) so that screen readers can navigate the content;
- keyboard navigation for all interactive elements, with a visible focus indicator;
- colour contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG 2.2 AA minimum ratios for text and meaningful non-text content;
- descriptive alternative text on images that convey information, and decorative images marked as such;
- descriptive link text that makes sense out of context (we avoid "click here" and similar);
- text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality;
- no auto-playing audio or video, no flashing content, and no time limits on reading or completing actions;
- a layout that reflows on small screens and supports zoom without horizontal scrolling at 320px width.
5. Known Limitations
This statement is based on self-assessment. A full third-party accessibility audit has not yet been carried out. As a result, some non-conformances may exist that we have not yet identified.
Areas we are aware may currently fall short of WCAG 2.2 AA include:
- documents in PDF format linked from the site (for example, certain published policies or statements) may not yet be fully tagged for screen reader compatibility; we will provide alternative formats on request while we work through remediation;
- any third-party embedded content (for example, video, forms, or scheduling tools) added in the future may have its own accessibility position; where we add such content, we will assess it against WCAG 2.2 AA before publication and update this statement accordingly;
- we have not yet completed a formal independent audit and will update this list as findings emerge.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier that is not listed above, please tell us using the details in Section 9 and we will treat your feedback as a priority.
6. Feedback and Reasonable Adjustments
If you have difficulty using any part of our website, or if you need information from our site in an alternative format — such as large print, plain text, audio, or a different file format — please contact us using the details in Section 9.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five working days and to confirm what action we propose to take, including a target date where remediation is possible. We will provide the information or alternative format you have asked for at no charge.
Under the Equality Act 2010 we have a duty to make reasonable adjustments. If you tell us you are at a substantial disadvantage because of how our website is designed, we will consider what reasonable adjustments we can make for you specifically, in addition to any broader changes to the site.
7. Enforcement and Your Rights
If you are not satisfied with how we have responded to your accessibility feedback, you have the following options:
- the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is the regulator responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010, including the duty to make reasonable adjustments by service providers;
- the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) provides free advice and assistance to individuals on issues relating to equality and human rights, including accessibility complaints against service providers.
We will engage constructively with any complaint or enquiry raised through these channels.
8. Preparation and Review of This Statement
This statement was first prepared on 27 May 2026. It is based on a self-assessment carried out by Atago Green Ltd against WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria, supported by the design specification of our new website.
We will review this statement:
- at least once every twelve months as part of our policy review cycle;
- whenever the website undergoes a material redesign or significant content change;
- following completion of any third-party accessibility audit;
- promptly where feedback identifies a barrier that requires the statement to be updated.
The "Last Updated" date at the foot of this statement will be revised whenever any material change is made.
